How to Enter: Eligible individuals can enter to win by submitting a video up to one minute long showing their cat or cats doing something funny, cute or amazing. The contest begins at 12:00 a.m. est. on Feb. 4nd 2019 and ends at 11:59 p.m on March 4nd. Any entries submitted before or after the entry period will not be eligible. The video must be posted to either your Instagram or Facebook about within the dates of the contests.

Eligible contestants must either follow us on Instagram or Like us on Facebook @CatGenieCatBox

Contestants can submit more than one video as long as each video is different from any other entry you submit and meets eligible requirements. During the entry period there will be two ways to enter:

  • Via Instagram: Post your video from your Instagram account and include the title of your video and our hashtags #CatGenie and #CatGenieAwards19. Must follow us @CatGenieCatBox
  • Via Facebook: Post your video from your account and include the title of your video and our hashtags #CatGenie and #CatGenieAwards19. Like us on Facebook @CatGenieCatBox

Encourage your friends to like and share your video to increase your chances of winning! The top 5 videos will qualify for the final round to be judged by our panel.  Finalists will be contacted by Petnovations and must submit a copy their video.

Videos will be judged based on a combination of video quality and total likes/shares.

If required information is not included/the video does not meet requirements listed below, Entry will be disqualified.

Content Requirements/Restrictions:

  • Videos must be created by you and may not have been published by any third party or infringe on third-party rights. If the cat featured in the video is not owned by you, you must have signed permission from the owner of each cat featured to submit the video for the Acatemy Awards contest.
  • Any music included in a video must be original: all music and/or lyrics must be written and performed solely by you. The music and performance may not have been published by any third party and must not infringe on third-party rights. If Petnovations determines that the music used is not original, or infringes on any third-party rights, we have the right to either disqualify your entry or we may dub over the music with music selected by us.
  • Safety: For the safety and respect of all cats involved in the making of these videos we require the cat(s) shown in the video be indoors or safely contained outdoors, and costume-free. Videos that show cats in outfits will be disqualified.
  • All videos must be suitable for public viewing and reflect CatGenie’s (descriptive) brand image.

Video Conditions:

By submitting an a video in the Acatemy Awards video contest, contestants represent that he/she owns all rights to all parts of his/her video, including, without limitation the copyrights in the video. Petnovations has the right to publish all videos that meet the rules and requirements to any/all CatGenie websites or social media sites.

Each contestant irrevocably grants Petnovations the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, adapt, and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used) each element of the contestant’s video, and use of the contestants name, likeness, photograph (collectively, “Likeness”), and/or statements regarding his/her participation in this Contest (with or without using their name) in any and all media without limitation as to time or territory, and without additional compensation or approval from the contestant or any other party. Contestant waives intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights or other legal or moral rights that might preclude Petnovations use of any element of the video, and agrees not to sue or assert any claim against Petnovations for the use of any element of the video or contestant’s Likeness or statements.

– No cash redemption or prize substitution allowed by the video contest winners.

  • Prize must be claimed within 30 days of announcement.
